This opera coat dates to the 1930's and is fashioned of rich, royal blue silk velvet with each shoulder in massive puff fullness and a velvet backed, thick and high white ermine collar completely enveloping the neckline of the wearer with the ermine narrowing as it falls down its front. 

The interior China silk lining shows weakness as often it does and it is in need of a replacement, which is easily done. Minor crushing to the velvet is seen through the bottom with a very minor fade seen to the rear hem but this piece has a very pristine appearance none the less and is a true must for the high glamour wardrobe. 

Measures 34 inches around the bust, 30 inches around the waist, 17 inches across the shoulders, 54 inches in its length, and a bottom sweep measuring 66 inches around.
