Details: This purse dates to the 1940's and is fashioned of red snakeskin pelts with a matching handle at the top that is lined in red vinyl.  

The hard ware is gold tone and when opened a soft kid leather lining is revealed with a zipper pocket on one side and an elastic cord holds a matching change purse that is lined in taffeta and also comes with the original beveled mirror but the paper envelope is torn.  

I personally would give this piece a polishing, the condition is excellent with only a fine line of wear to a high edge measuring ¼ inch and the handle has seen some minor wear to the scales and is slightly misshapen.  Measures 4 ½ x 9 inches and stands 5 inches high, not including the handle.
