1930's Men's Wild Print Silk Smoking / Lounging Robe

Item Number:5690

Details: This piece dates to the 1930's and is fashioned of a silk and I believe, rayon blend in a rich burnt orange ground hue with white edged brown palm leaves in a print throughout.

The collar is turned over, rising down the front with pockets at the sides and a high pocket on the left chest.  The cuffs are turned up in the same fashion with cuffs and collar filled with batting for additional fullness and matching belting encircles the waist with knot ends and small fringe bottoms.

This piece has seen some spattered staining which is especially noted on the belting, but none the less, due to the high shine, the robe has a very pristine appearance and this must be hunted for.  The staining is mild with several fingertip points but they literally must be hunted for to be seen through the pattern.  A thumbprint stain is on the top left shoulder but again, does not readily detract and this piece has a most exceptional appearance, a true must have.

Measures large in size, 50 inches around the chest, 48 inches around the waist, very full in the shoulders measuring 23 inches across and 54 inches in its length and an underarm inseam measuring 19 inches in length. .

Price:    $149.00
