Details: This hat has such extreme Edwardian style. The hat is built atop layers of silk covered black boning with its top in ruching of black horse hair with the complete under brim in very loosely applied soft curling black straw. The straw is seen completely around the head with a large rise in its front. Its silk lining shows weakness of a tear and dozens of hat pin pricks. Its black satin tag reads Oneill in gold. I personally would trim this piece beyond my control. Measures 11 x 12 inches across and stands 6 inches in its height with a universal sized head hole which is made very large as it was worn atop the head.
